This historic courthouse building was built circa 1925 and was the courthouse of Steveston, British Columbia until the 1940s. During the Second World War, the building housed the Red Cross.
After the war the building was used as a Community Hall until 1957, when a new community hall was built. In 1988 the building was renovated and eventually became law offices. Today the building houses Anar, a Persian restaurant.
The building is located on Third Avenue jsut north of the historic Cannery area. It was designated a historical place on March 1st, 2005.
