The well-constructed wooden Little Free Library is sided with split logs and the roof has asphalt shingles. The interior has a compartment which is divided by a single shelf. The library has a glassed access door and is mounted on a sturdy wooden post. A chalkboard for messages is attached to the post and a bench is nearby. There is a solar powered light mounted over the access door.
From the LFL owner:
“I love books! My husband was a fabulous wood worker. & always wanted to build and live in a log home. We did that. We have a full wood shop and know how to use the equipment thanks to Jeff. Jeff passed away in 2012. Our kids and I decided to bring my love of books together with Jeff’s love of wood working and log home living and build a Little log cabin Free Library in his memory :) He would love seeing this! Please stop on by!”
