This statue of Saint James the Greater is located at Alto Reste Park Cemetery on Plank Road in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The statue depicts Saint James holding a book and a staff.

Saint James was one of Christ's twelve Apostles. He was the brother of Saint John. According to the Acts of the Apostles, chapter 12, James was killed by order of King Herod. It is believed that his remains were transported to Santiago de Compostela in Spain, which is a major pilgrimage site in Europe for that reason.
