"The first plans for the Stock Exchange were signed in 1739 and modified in 1741. The building contains a covered courtyard, surrounded by semicircular arcades, furnished with openwork iron doors.

The eardrums bear various commercial emblems with the inscription of the main squares of Europe. A cornice that forms a balcony marks the height of the first floor around it.

Above, an entablature with triglyphs supports the birth of a pierced vault of fourteen glazed lanterns. Around this room, there are large porticoes containing counters, exchange offices, shops, retail shops...

The grand staircase leads to a landing from which two other flights lead to the first floor. The cage was once adorned with paintings by Berinzago. Other rooms occupy the first floor.

At the end of the project in 1749, the merchants' stock exchange (previously located on the Place du Palais), the chamber of commerce and the consular jurisdiction will move into their new premises.

The Bordeaux stock exchange, as a listing place, closed like the other regional stock exchanges in 1990, in favor of the Paris Stock Exchange.”
