Located in Orlando, Florida is Gatorland a wildlife park and zoo. Founded in 1949 by Owen Godwin this park is the oldest tourist attraction in continuous operation in the Orange County area. It was one of the first tourist attractions to be built in Florida.

Billed as the "Alligator Capital of the World," Gatorland features thousands of alligators (including rare leucistic alligators) and crocodiles, and many other animals.

The iconic, now historic, Gator Mouth graced the entrance to Gatorland for decades. However in November of 2006 a fire broke out and destroyed the main building and gift shop. The gift shop and main offices were rebuilt as a two-story concrete block building, incorporating the repainted historic concrete alligator's mouth, and opened in May of 2008.
