stands at the east end of Point Street Bridge in Providence, Rhode Island. It is at the southern end of the Providence Riverwalk along the north sidewalk of Point Street where it becomes Wickenden Street. A proportionally sized isosceles trapezoid, granite-curbed, grass-filled island surrounds the work. A pair of white flag poles to its east fly the American flag (south pole) and State of Rhode Island flag (north pole).
