Belgodère is a small Corsican town inhabited by 623 residents, the Belgodercecci. The area of the municipality of Belgodère is 12.96 km². The number of Belgodercecci per km² (density) is 48.07. It is located near the towns of Ville-di-Paraso, Costa, Palasca and Occhiatana.
It stretches from the village to the sea (Lozari beach), perfectly illustrating the distribution of historical populations in Corsica. In order to escape the pirates coming from the Barbary coasts, the Corsicans settled on villages perched in the mountains, using the plains only for agriculture.
