On the Piazza della Repubblica you will find this metal 3D model of the city. Not only does it help the blind (they can feel the buildings in the city), but there is also explaination of the buildings in braille

The 3d map of the city has been made available by (amongst others) the local Kiwani organisation and the city of Florence.
On the side of the map there are several legenda's. I assume (sorry I do not read braille, that it explains which are which buildings/area's within Florence.
