"This building was constructed in 1977 for use as a funeral home and continues to serve that function. Since it is less than 50
years old it is noncontributing.
"Built in 1977, this one-story painted brick structure has a mansard roof. The wall facing Kingshighway has no openings, but on
the Monroe Street side are two pairs of French doors, each protected by a porte cochere with Doric columns supporting a double pitched hip roof.
"This building is situated at the southeast corner of Kingshighway and Monroe Streets, which is a busy intersection. The entire lot
is paved with asphalt for parking." ~ St. Charles Historic Survey Phase III, PDF pages 542-545
