[GER] Bei dem Wilstedter Badesee handelt es sich um einen Baggersee – dem Wilstedter See bei Norderstedt. Im Volksmund wird der See "Costa Kiesa" genannt, in Anspielung auf seine Herkunft. Hier wurde lange Zeit Sand und Kies abgebaut. Jetzt ist es ein Badesee. Der See hat keinen Zufluß und hat eine Fläche von ca. 0,082 km² und einen Umfang von ca. 1,27 km. Teile des Seeufers stehen der Öffentlichkeit zur Verfügung. Zum Teil ist hier ein schöner Sandstrand.
[ENG] The Wilstedter Badesee is a dredged lake - the Wilstedter See near Norderstedt. In the vernacular, the lake is called "Costa Kiesa", alluding to its origin. Sand and gravel were mined here for a long time. Now it is a bathing lake. The lake has no inflow and has an area of about 0.082 km² and a circumference of about 1.27 km. Parts of the lake shore are open to the public. Part of it is a beautiful sandy beach.
