THE MARK IS LOCATED ABOUT 6 MILES WEST OF THE VILLAGE OF VENUS AND 11 MILES NORTHWEST OF PALMDALE IN THE NORTHWEST ANGLE OF THE INTERSECTION OF COUNTY ROAD 731 AND CASTLEROCK ROAD. TO REACH THE MARK FROM THE JUNCTION OF U.S. HIGHWAY 27 AND COUNTY ROAD 731 ABOUT 9 MILES NORTH OF PALMDALE, GO WEST ON COUNTY ROAD 731 FOR 7.7 MILES TO A SIDE ROAD ON THE RIGHT AND THE AZIMUTH MARK. THE AZIMUTH MARK, A STANDARD DISK STAMPED -----TAS 1955--- SET IN THE TOP OF A 12-INCH SQUARE CONCRETE MONUMENT PROJECTING 4 INCHES, IS 33 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER OF COUNTY ROAD 731, 45 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER OF CASTLEROCK ROAD, AND IS 4.0 FEET NORTH OF A BARBED WIRE FENCE.
