The postcard "Kutná Hora, The Sokol House " by Josef Zajic shows the building built in 1884. Until World War II, the name Sokol was also used for a cinema in the Sokolovna, which was then renamed Viktoria. Today's Sokolská Street is also named after the Sokolovna.
