The Main Street Diner has been classified as a Master Diner by the Dinerville website. (
visit link) The diner was built in the late 1950’s in New Jersey. Before its arrival in Plainfield it has previously been in Hempstead, Long Island, New York.
The glass and stainless steel diner is set on a foundation of blue brick. The diner was renovated in 2008. It has terrazzo flooring and railroad car lighting. The neon sign outside the dine is topped by a neon coffee cup.
The Main Street Diner specializes in breakfast and is open for lunch.
