"The village of Terme di Brennero is located at 1,326 m asl, about 3 km in the south of the Brennero. Since Antiquity, Terme di Brennero is known for its thermal springs, which were already mentioned in documents in 1400. In 1460 even Sigismund “Rich in Coin” and his wife sojourned in this village, further illustrious guests were Henrik Ibsen, Richard Strauss, Franz Léhar and Leo Fall. In the Belle Epoque a Grand Hotel was opened, transnational trains stopped in the station of Terme di Brennero. These were the days in which Terme di Brennero thrived. By the way: with an average temperature of 21.9 degrees, the thermal springs of Terme di Brennero are the warmest of South Tyrol. The Thermal Baths today offer various types of baths, drinking and inhalation treatments."
