The Park was dedicated to the memory of Dr. C.C. Hartman. Dr. Hartman lived in Olds and practiced medicine for 56 years until he passed away in 1966.
Hartman Green Park was originally built for the 1999 Alberta Seniors Games on the site of an old par 3 golf course. Beautiful paved trails meander through the park and a 9 hole Disc Golf course is available to all. In 2017, the disc golf equipment was totally refurbished and new signage with location of "baskets" and rules to the game can be found throughout the park.
