Dit kleine houten gebouw staat aan de rand van het bos bij het Nationaal Militair Museum op de vliegbasis Soesterberg.
Het gebouw wordt Gebouw 45 genoemd en het is het oudste luchtvaartgebouw van Nederland. Het is in 1910 en 1911 neergezet als showroom en 'perscentrum' voor de Maatschappij van Luchtvaart van Verwey en Lugard ( (

In 1913 kwam het vliegveld in bezit van de LVA, de luchtvaarrtafdeling van de landmacht. Het gebouw kreeg de functie van EHBO post en werd daardoor ook wel het verbandgebouw genoemd.
In 1950 is het gebouw gerenoveerd en werd het leslokaal, theehuis en hield de dominee er spreekuur.
Na de bouw van het Nationaal Militair Museum is het gebouw in 2013 weer in de oude stijl hersteld.
Het dak heeft koperen goten rondom en het dak heeft houten singles als dakbedekking ook zijn er voorzieningen voor de huisvesting van vleermuizen gemaakt.
De vliegbasis in zijn geheel is een gemeentelijk monument. Gebouw 45 heeft daarom geen eigen monumentale status.

This small wooden building stands on the edge of the forest near the National Military Museum on the Soesterberg airbase.
The building is called Building 45 and it is the oldest aviation building in the Netherlands. It was built in 1910 and 1911 as a showroom and 'press centre' for the Verwey and Lugard Aviation Company (https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maatschappij_voor_Luchtvaart).
In 1913, the airfield came into the possession of the LVA, the aviation department of the army. The building was given the function of first aid post and was therefore also called the dressing station.
In 1950, the building was renovated and became a classroom, a teahouse and the vicar held surgery there.
After the construction of the National Military Museum, the building was restored to its former glory in 2013.
The roof has copper gutters all around and the roof is covered with wooden shingles.
The airbase as a whole is a municipal monument. Building 45 therefore does not have its own monumental status.
