[EN] Since there has been a church on hill of Rusko (in Monte Ruscho) since the 13th century, it has also been a resting place for the dead for that long. The best burial place was under the floor of the church, preferably as close as possible to the altar. Only the poor who could not afford to pay had to settle for an outdoor burial.

There is information about those buried under the church based on the parish registers and history books for a period of three hundred years. In memory of them and those who were completely out of reach of the chronicles, a stone has been erected next to the church: "In memory of the blessed and forgotten dead under the shelter of the stone church of Rusko, first mentioned in 1337 as an independent parish and repaired in 1445, the parish of Rusko owns this stone."

After the ban issued in 1822, an actual churchyard had to be established. In the 1870s and 1911, the cemetery was expanded and the stone fence was moved to new boundaries.
