His Obituary:
"Mardis, Robert H. asleep in Jesus on Wed. Jan. 21, 2009.

Beloved husband of the late Shirley J. Mardis (nee Riel); dearest father of Trudy (Fred) Miller, Terry (Richard) Stapleton, Randall (Kemlyn) Mardis, Pam (Dennis) O'Toole, and Pat (Ricky Christensen) Gericke; dear grandfather of Joseph, Jimmy and Katie; loving great grandfather of Verona and Isabella; dear brother of Dillard, Jr. (Kathryn) Mardis, Esther Trout and Jean Morrison; dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Bob will be remembered for his sense of humor and kindness to others. He served his country honorably during WW II and the Korean Conflict and was a proud member of the American Legion Post 184.

Services: The funeral will be conducted in the chapel of Colonial Mortuary Hoffmiester-Kriegshauser Funeral Directors, 6464 Chippewa on Tues., Jan. 27, 2009 at 11:30 a.m.
The interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors." ~ Legacy [link below]
