The village of Invergowrie is situated on the Firth of Tay on the south-western edge of the Scottish city of Dundee. Despite its proximity to Dundee however, the village is lies on the south-eastern extremity of Perthshire.

The bowling club in the village is situated just south of the parish church on Errol Road which bounds the western side of the green which is in full view from the roadside. The modern clubhouse lies on the north side of the green.
