The final resting place of centenarian Hazel E. Dodd is at the southeast side of section 25. She shares a plot with her husband William Everett, who passed away sixteen years prior to her.

Hazel's horizontal headstone has the following inscription:

Hazel Dodd, 100, of Edmond, Okla., was born April 12, 1914 in Riverton, Neb., to Thomas Howard and Myrtella Giles.

Hazel married William Everett Dodd in 1934. They were residents of Britton, Okla., until 1947 at which time they moved to Alaska.

Hazel and William worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs from which she retired after 21 years of service. They then moved to Pea Ridge, Ark., and resided there for 27 years and then moved to Edmond.

Hazel was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Edmond. She passed away on October 17, 2014 in Edmond.

Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and sister.

She is survived by her son Everett Dodd of Edmond, her daughter, Sharon White and her husband Larry of Eagle River, Alaska, and three grandchildren, Kim, Keri and Terry.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 23 at First United Methodist Church in Edmond, under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Edmond.
