There is no indication as to this book exchange's provenance, although judging by the wear and tear, it's been here for awhile. It was created to resemble a vintage steam locomotive, but unfortunately, the door has been broken off, so donations should be placed in a plastic bag or some such.
As to its companion, the "Dog Library" was built by Mike's Tire & Lube and placed here in 2022 by the student council at Nocona Elementary School, intended to be filled with balls and sticks for man's best friend to chase down. It is in significantly better condition, but empty.
There are no posted park hours, so visits during the day are probably best.
