Vince’s is a south end favorite and is known for their incredible Italian food at affordable prices since 1957. Their pizza is incredible – especially the hand-tossed crust – and is regularly voted as the best in the area by the local paper. The atmosphere isn’t fancy and the décor is dated, but once you start eating your pizza you will be blind to everything but the plate in front of you.
Here is the story of Vince that is told on their website:
“Enzo (Vince) Mottola and wife Ada were both born and raised in the same neighborhood in the heart of Naples. After getting married the young couple saw little opportunity in Southern Italy in the early 1950’s. They followed two of Vince’s sisters, who were “war brides” and came to the US. They arrived in 1954 and settled in a Seattle neighborhood commonly known as “Garlic Gulch” because of its large Italian immigrant population. Vince had worked at a famous catering company in Naples, and like almost every Neapolitan, had a passion, if not fanaticism for the food of his hometown."
"In 1957 Vince and Ada opened their first restaurant with Vince manning the kitchen and Ada the cash register and tables. Their goals were simple: provide authentic Italian meals at a price that families could afford – just like the neighborhood restaurants and pizzerias of Naples.”
Vince’s now has 4 locations in the Puget Sound area: Burien, this location in Federal Way, the Renton Highlands, and South Seattle.

The lounge is open one hour later than the dining room each night.
