There is a bascule bridge at the southern end of the Hooidamsloot canal in the southwest of the small village Oudega. The bridge has a length of almost 16 meters and is located 2.7m above the water. The bridge crossing must be registered and paid for at least 24 hours before the passage by calling +31 58 29 25 888 if it takes place outside of 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Bridge hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
On some public holidays (New Year's Day, January 2nd, Easter, Pentecost, Christmas and New Year's Eve), operations are restricted or canceled altogether.
