Sir Otho Grandison (1300-1359) lies opposite his wife Lady Beatrix.(d.1379). He was the younger brother of Bishop John Grandisson of Exeter who founded (1338) a college of secular priests endowing it with the manor and the tithes of the whole parish - Ottery St Mary Devon.

Note the unusal posture of Otto especially in the way he holds his sword.

Born at Chelsfield Kent, he was the son of Guillaume (William) Lord of Grandison (1333/5), the widower of Blanche de Savoie (1284), by his 2nd wife Sibella (1334), daughter of Sir John Lord of Tregoz & Ewyas Harold (1300) and Mabel daughter of Fulke Fitzwarin & Clarice d'Auberville

He married Beatrix co-heiress daughter of Sir Nicholas Sir Nicholas Malesmain / Malmayn / Malmain of Ockley, Surrey.
