The small village and the people of St Agnes celebrated the Millenium with the construction of a town clock.

Constructed on the forecourt of the local council office, stands an approximately 6-meter high granite block, square, column. Set on the top is a wooden housing, and the roof is covered with lead for protection against the elements. Inside the wood, housing is a clock that has two opposing faces.
The tower has a dedication on a Bronze embossed plaque, that reads -
Donated by the people of St Agnes
in memory of
Dr. C Gill-Carey
1927-1999
jointly with the Parrish Council
to mark the
New Millenium 2000AD
The tower also has another, circular,paint metal, embossed plaque, which reads -
2014 Centenary Year
The People of St Agnes
Remember
Their men and Women
Who died in the
Great War of
1914-1918
