LE QUAI D'HONNEUR BRANCALEONI
Le Quai d'Honneur du Port de Plaisance et de Pêche Ajaccio Tino-Rossi s'est doté d'une capitainerie dédiée à la Grande Plaisance et d'un réseau électrique entièrement rénové pour recevoir les plus beaux yachts du monde (+ 100 m.).
Les quatre pannes flottantes perpendiculaires à la jetée et la capitainerie principale sont réservées pour leur part à l'accueil des bateaux de plaisance allant jusqu'à 19 mètres.
Le Quai d'Honneur dispose d'une pompe de récupération mobile des eaux usées (service gratuit pour les usagers).

The four floating pannes perpendicular to the pier and the main harbour master's office are reserved for pleasure boats up to 19 meters.

Tino ROSSI, de son patronyme Constantin ROSSI, est un chanteur et acteur français né le 29 avril 1907 à Ajaccio. Son père Laurent était tailleur, et sa mère Eugénie se consacrait à sa grande famille de huit enfants. Constantin porte par ailleurs le prénom de l'un de ses frères, mort peu avant sa naissance...
Dès son enfance, le futur Tino ROSSI aime chanter. Et c'est à tout juste une vingtaine d'années, qu'il rencontre Annie MARLAN, jeune violoniste, en tombe amoureux, l'épouse à Toulon, et lui donne un enfant : la jeune Pierrette, née en 1927.
À Marseille, c'est en compagnie de sa deuxième épouse Faustine FRATANI, que Tino ROSSI tente en vain de se faire engager au casino d'Aix-en-Provence. C'est finalement le tourneur Louis ALLIONE, dit Petit Louis, qui le produira sur de petites scènes de l'arrière-pays provençal.
En 1932, à Marseille, alors que Tino ROSSI arpente avec son père la rue Saint-Ferréol, son attention est attirée par une pancarte sur la devanture d'un magasin : "Enregistrez votre voix pour cent sous". Un représentant de la maison de disques Parlophone le repère ainsi, et lui permet d'enregistrer ses premières chansons, "O Ciuciarella" et la berceuse "Ninni, Nanna".
Rapidement le label Columbia s'intéresse aussi à lui. Séduit par le dynamisme entreprenant de son directeur Jean BÉRARD, Tino ROSSI signe chez la concurrence et enregistre notamment son premier tube, "Le tango de Marilou". Tino ROSSI réalise alors les premières parties des grands artistes de l'époque, de Lucienne BOYER à DAMIA, en passant par PILLS et TABET, MIREILLE, ou Jean SABLON.
Au début des années 30, Tino ROSSI est engagé pour le spectacle "Tout Paris chante". Dans la foulée, il enregistre de plus en plus de disques et vend un demi million d'exemplaires de la chanson "Adieu Hawaï". Dans les années 30 la radio envahit les foyers et permet aux artistes de bénéficier d'une audience nationale. Sa réussite tenant aussi à son physique, c'est le cinéma qui va finir d'en faire une immense vedette.
En 1936, Tino ROSSI tourne dans "Marinella" de Pierre CARON, un film chantant écrit pour lui. La chanson titre est un énorme succès. Idem l'année suivante avec "Naples au baiser de feu". Sa romance avec la comédienne Mireille BALIN fait alors la une des journaux de l'époque.
En 1938, c'est ensemble qu'ils embarquent à bord du paquebot Normandie en direction des Etats-Unis. Tino ROSSI décrochera un tube, classé 28 semaines dans les charts US, "Vieni Vieni".
Durant les années 40, Tino ROSSI continue d'enregistrer des disques à succès, également en espagnol, et part en tournée en Amérique latine.
En 1946, avec la chanson "Petit Papa Noël", Tino ROSSI remporte un succès phénoménal. En ce premier vrai Noël depuis 1938 (avant la seconde guerre mondiale), cette chanson arrive à point nommé pour faire revivre les traditions. Elle permettra à Tino ROSSI, en 1949, d'être le premier chanteur français à obtenir un disque d'or.
Chaque année, depuis sa disparition, un label publie de nouveau le single, et Tino ROSSI se classe systématiquement en tête des meilleures ventes de disques (son meilleur classement sera obtenu le 28 décembre 1991, 6ème du Top 50). Une chanson au texte de Raymond VINCY, et à la musique d'Henri MARTINET – musique pour laquelle il s’est inspiré d’une œuvre de Dmitri BORTNIANSKI, reprise depuis par des centaines d'interprètes à travers le monde.
Ce phénomène dans l'histoire de la chanson française est unanimement considéré comme le titre le plus vendu de l'histoire du disque en France.
Partagé entre chanson et cinéma, Tino ROSSI s'illustrera également durant les années 50, en star de l'opérette. C'est avec "Méditerranée" en 1955 qu'il démarre une longue série de succès scéniques.
Après une ultime apparition dans "L'âne de Zigliara" en 1970, Tino ROSSI déserte ensuite définitivement les plateaux de cinéma.
À 75 ans, Tino ROSSI montera sur la scène du Casino de Paris pour célébrer 50 ans de carrière et faire ses adieux. Il y restera trois mois face à une salle comble.
Alors qu'il vient de signer un nouveau contrat de 5 ans sur le label Pathé Marconi, Tino ROSSI succombera à un cancer en 1983 dans son appartement de Neuilly-sur-Seine. Il avait 76 ans.
Son parcours fut tranquille, à l'écart des engagements, mais avec ses 1 000 chansons et ses 300 millions de disques vendus, Tino ROSSI demeure indéniablement l'un des artistes les plus populaires du siècle dernier.

In 1932, in Marseille, while Tino ROSSI was walking with his father on the rue Saint-Ferréol, his attention was drawn to a sign on the front of a store: "Record your voice for a hundred cents". A representative of the record company Parlophone spotted him and allowed him to record his first songs, "O Ciuciarella" and the lullaby "Ninni, Nanna".
Quickly the Columbia label is also interested in him. Seduced by the enterprising dynamism of its director Jean BÉRARD, Tino ROSSI signed with the competition and recorded his first hit, "Le tango de Marilou". Tino ROSSI then opened for the great artists of the time, from Lucienne BOYER to DAMIA, via PILLS and TABET, MIREILLE, or Jean SABLON.
In the early 30's, Tino ROSSI was hired for the show "Tout Paris chante". In the process, he recorded more and more records and sold half a million copies of the song "Adieu Hawaï". In the 30s, radio invaded homes and allowed artists to benefit from a national audience. His success was also due to his physique, and it was the cinema that made him a huge star.
In 1936, Tino ROSSI played in Pierre CARON's "Marinella", a singing film written for him. The title song was a huge success. The same thing happened the following year with "Naples au baiser de feu". His romance with the actress Mireille BALIN made the headlines at the time.
In 1938, they embarked together on the liner Normandie to the United States. Tino ROSSI will get a hit, classified 28 weeks in the US charts, "Vieni Vieni".
During the 40's, Tino ROSSI continued to record successful records, also in Spanish, and went on tour in Latin America.
In 1946, with the song "Petit Papa Noël", Tino ROSSI had a phenomenal success. On this first real Christmas since 1938 (before the Second World War), this song came at the right time to revive the traditions. In 1949, it allowed Tino ROSSI to become the first French singer to obtain a gold record.
Every year since his death, a label has re-released the single, and Tino ROSSI has systematically topped the charts (his best ranking was on December 28, 1991, 6th in the Top 50). A song with lyrics by Raymond VINCY, and music by Henri MARTINET - music for which he was inspired by a work by Dmitri BORTNIANSKI, which has since been covered by hundreds of performers around the world.
This phenomenon in the history of French song is unanimously considered as the best-selling song in the history of the record in France.
Divided between song and film, Tino Rosi also became famous during the 50s as an operetta star. It is with "Méditerranée" in 1955 that he started a long series of stage successes.

At the age of 75, Tino ROSSI went on stage at the Casino de Paris to celebrate 50 years of career and to say goodbye. He stayed there for three months in front of a full house.
Just as he had signed a new 5-year contract with the Pathé Marconi label, Tino ROSSI succumbed to cancer in 1983 in his apartment in Neuilly-sur-Seine. He was 76 years old.
His career was quiet, away from commitments, but with his 1,000 songs and 300 million records sold, Tino ROSSI remains undeniably one of the most popular artists of the last century.
