De grafsteen is uitgevoerd in ruw Belgisch hardsteen, eenvoudig en zonder franje, de plaat waar de tekst in is gebeiteld is vlak en strak met bovenop een kruis.
Onderin de sokkel is een mooi anker gebeiteld wat uitbeeld wat het beroep van de overledene is geweest
de dekplaat omhelst het gehele graf en er omheen staat een koperen reling wat de zijkant van het schip moet voorstellen, bijzonder detail is dat het graf ernaast van Seaman - Jan Willem Wittevrongel.
Waarschijnlijk liggen ouders en kind hier naast elkaar.

Bij het rondlopen over deze begraafplaats troffen we regelmatig volledige grafstenen aan waar zowel de man als de vrouw op stonden vermeld ( op zich normaal ).
Lugubere van dit was dat bij de een de geboorte datum en datum overlijden is vermeld en de andere alleen de geboorte datum.

The tombstone is made of rough Belgian bluestone, simple and without frills. The plate in which the text is chiselled is flat and smooth with a cross on top.
At the bottom of the plinth a beautiful anchor is chiselled which depicts the profession of the deceased.
The cover plate embraces the entire grave and around it is a copper railing which must represent the side of the ship. A special detail is that the grave of Seaman Jan Willem Wittevrongel is next to it.
It is likely that parents and child lie here next to each other.

While walking around the cemetery we regularly found complete tombstones on which both the husband and wife were mentioned (in itself normal).
The lugubrious thing about this was that one had the date of birth and the date of death on it and the other only the date of birth.
