Von 1951 bis 1997 wurde die Stauklappe des Wildeshauser Wasserkraftwerkes mit diesem Antrieb elektrisch-mechanisch betrieben. Bei Stromausfall konnten 4 Personen die Stauklappe mittels eine Kurbel betätigen.
1997 wurde dieser Antrieb aufgrund Abnutzungserscheinungen durch einen elektro-hydraulischen Antrieb ersetzt.
