In paCe ChrIstIana pIe In DorMIIt
sIDonIae Verbo preCare paCeM

In the "Karmelitenkirche" (Carmelite Church) in Linz there is a double chronogram above the entrance to a chapel, which is difficult to decipher, because some letters that do not belong to the chronogram are also larger and gold-colored. However, two chronograms are recognizable in the extensive inscription:
In paCe ChrIstIana pIe In DorMIIt
sIDonIae Verbo preCare paCeM
Both chronograms give the year 1707. The letters of the chronogram are larger than the others and colored gold. However, in the middle the word "VIATOR" (traveler) is also written with large, golden letters and above the right chronogram at "Vtman" the "V" is also large and golden, but obviously no longer belongs to the chronogram, because the "m" is not large.
Who or what this inscription is supposed to commemorate, however, could not be determined. In the text above it "Ioannae Sidoniae natae Wagner de Frommenhausen" (Johanna Sindoniae, née Wagner von Frommenhausen) is mentioned, but also an "Ioannes Thomas noblis de Garttnern" (Johannes Thomas, Baron of Garttnern).
The coordinates indicate the entrance of the church. The chapel is located on the left side after entering the church.
