Baptism font in St Giles and St Nicholas' church, Sidmouth. It is octagonal and has a fine traceried bowl topped by a tall, richly buttressed and pinnacled timber font cover. The bowl has text from Cor. 12.13 arount the top "For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body"
The church tower dates from a 15th century rebuilding, but the remainder of the church is Victorian, designed by William White in 1860. This font presumably dates from around that time.
