A bronze plaque on the south entrance to the Christopher Allen Bridge is inscribed:

TO THE TOWN OF STAFFORD

The Christopher Allen Bridge has a 40' long span with a deck with of 28'. The bridge has two lanes for vehicular trafic. The pedestrian walkways on each side are paved with bricks laid in a herringbone pattern.
