This former jail is located at the Cayuga Courthouse building in Cayuga, Ontario. Built in 1850 the building served the community as the local jail, with the Stone Walls in the back of the building built by Cumberland and Ridout. The building was also home to the Jailer's Residence starting in 1877.
Reports indicate some of the cells are very small, even standing room only. The jail was decommissioned in the 1970s.
