The statue is a WWI Doughboy casted in bronze on a granite stand. The doughboy is holding a rifle in a combat ready stance. It was erected by the Town of Tiverton in honor of its citizens that served in WWI. Separate mention is made of the 4 nurses that served. The statue is located on triangular plot at Grinnel's Beach. This statue was also featured in the American Guide Series for Rhode Island. There are at least 150+ citizens memorialized on the Honor Roll.
