Darrell E. Farnsworth was born in Kansas, but was raised in the Ringwood area and lived here his entire life, other than during his service in the Marines. A lifelong farmer, he succumbed to cancer at age 78. His headstone is with those of other members of his family, but they have used his military grave plate to construct a memorial that includes two iron wagon wheels.
