Oveta and
Henrietta are interred in the Hawthorn family plot in Fairview Cemetery. Henrietta, who was French, met Bill Hawthorn in France at the end of WWI and married him there, then came to Texas with him but passed away less than a decade later. Oveta, whose maiden name was Walls, also married into the Hawthorns but died at twenty-three. Two life sized winged angels, both kneeling, watch over their final resting places.
