Anti-tank gun 37mm M3. United States Army adopted the 37mm anti-tank gun M3 in 1940. By the outbreak of World War II in 1941 the gun was largely outclassed by enemy armor. Served throughout the war in the Pacific Theater but was replaced by a 57mm anti-tank gun in Europe.
