This museum is located in the Elisha Straight House in Hartford, New York. The house, believed to be the oldest house in this region circa early 19th century, was a Civil War enlistment center for men is this region. According to the Hartford NY website "This is the story of their 3000 mile three year journey to glory and service to the Union. This building is the only Civil War enlistment center remaining in New York State. The collection concentrates on the men, their equipment, their stories and the battles."
