This is the home of George Mason, father of the Virginia Declaration of Rights--some of these words were used in the Declaration of Independence, and as the basis for the Bill of Rights. Mason was one of three men who helped develop the United States Constitution but refused to sign it because it did not contain anything about rights of citizens. You can tour Gunston Hall for a small fee: Adults – $8 Seniors (60 and above) – $7 Students grades 1 through 12 – $4 Children kindergarten and younger – FREE Building - #66000832
