"New Spur Stadium Dedication Is Held / Life of Charles Adam Jones Is Fittingly Memorialized

The fine new athletic field, brilliantly lighted and its 3.500 seats filled and overflowing, is by all odds West Texas' finest. Carved from a hillside on the north boundary of this Dickens County city, it is on land purchased by sons of Mr. Jones — Clifford, of Spur, and Hoyle, of Tulsa — and presented to the Spur school system."
