This Civil War G.A.R. memorial placard is mounted to a smallish size rock which in turn is situated in the center of a cairn with a stone arch above it. It is located on the grounds of the First Congregational Church of Vermontville at 110 S Main St, Vermontville, MI 49096. The church was built in the Civil War era and the dedication on the rock reads:
