At the base of the grey granite obelisk, on a road bounded park is a memorial for the Korean War. The years of service provided in the Korean War from the participants of the Yea District are added to the bronze plaque memorial. It has the crests of the three branches of the military [Navy, Army, and Air Force], with the following inscription:
KOREAN WAR
1950-1953 1953-1956
Active Service Peacekeeping
As no names have been added, it would be assumed that the plaque is for their active service, and not the ultimate sacrifice.
