St. Patrick Cathedral, built in 1904-07, is the Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg. It is located at 212 State Street, just a few blocks to the west of the Pennsylvania State Capitol Building. The church's dome, although dwarfed by the nearby State Capitol dome, still stands prominent in the Harrisburg skyline. From inside the church, twelve stained glass windows are visible in the dome, along with the words of Christ as recorded in the Gospel of Saint Matthew (28:20), "Behold I am with you all days even unto the consummation of the world."
