This water damm is in the pool below. When I was little, this was virgin, but later they were made of cement to control the water. The water comes down from the mountains and is stored in the pools. Then it is opened for irrigation. It has a metal lift-up gate and two lockable side tubes. In the hot season, they are closed by obligation in case there are fires. The rest of the year it is usually open and empty. People can also bathe.
