The Eastland County Westbound Safety Rest Stop, about eight miles east of Ranger, serves westbound traffic on I-20. It is called a "Safety Rest Stop" because storm shelters are available, in addition to the usual amenities. The "Welcome Center" features many signs giving the history of the area and a number of exhibits, including a 1925 Model T. This guest register is at the desk, to your left as you enter the building.
