The helipad is located on the shore of the Nanaimo Harbour. It is on old industrial land that used to have 2 to 3 saw mills on it. It is near the Cruise Ship dock and the terminal for Helijet is in the same building that contains the cruise ship passenger terminal along with the offices for the Nanaimo Port Authority. The terminal provides seating, washrooms, and security check.
The heliport is on asphalt. The painted landing area is has a circle of green landing lights. Beyond that is a low removable fence to keep the non-passenger public separated and safe from the pad. There are warning signs on this fence for rotorwash and not to smoke near it. There is a windsock close to the pad and as far as I know it is used exclusive use of Helijet. The pad is marked "Helijet" in the center of the triangle.
