Young is a census designated place in central Arizona. It is located in a large valley of grassland at an altitude of 5100' Originally used by native Americans as a hunting ground, it was taken over by ranchers and farmers in the late 1800's. Young was the scene of the last range war in Arizona and the murdered family members of each side are interred here. The cemetery is still active. The building at the entrance gives a history of the area and the cemetery as well as plot maps.
