The Hill of Maunderlea is a 233 metre height in north-western Aberdeenshire, formerly Banffshire. The wooded area on the south slope of the hill is a site of wooden holiday lodges, and a viewpoint was set up on the hills summit to the north to show off the view northwards towards the north facing coast.

A white metal disc sits on a large boulder with placenames depicted at 360 degrees, but the view takes in the vista from west through north to east with the area to the south being obscured by trees. A shelter and seating sits adjacent to the viewpoint.

Most of the places depicted are not visible, but some of the hills are including Knock Hill to the west, and the mountain of Ben Rhinnes on a clear day further west. The view north takes in the North Sea and Banffshire coast, and eastwards is a long vista of rural north-east Aberdeenshire.
