Omroep Hoeksche Waard is de publieke lokale omroep voor de gemeente Hoeksche Waard. Dagelijks maken verschillende vrijwilligers radioprogramma’s en online content, toegespitst op de inwoners van de Hoeksche Waard.

Radio Hoeksche Waard is de publieke lokale omroep voor de gemeente Hoeksche Waard. De studio is gevestigd in Puttershoek. Radio Hoeksche Waard is te ontvangen via de ether op FM frequentie 96,0 en 105,5 MHz, via de kabel digitaal, Internet providers en het Internet.

In 1986 werd het radiostation opgericht onder de naam BOS Radio. De afkorting BOS stond voor Binnenmaas Omroep Stichting. In eerste instantie was het alleen bedoeld voor de gemeente Binnenmaas, al was het in opzet bedoeld voor de gehele Hoeksche Waard. Later kreeg men ook wettelijk toestemming uit te zenden voor de andere gemeenten van het eiland Hoeksche Waard. Toch bleef de zender eerst nog gewoon BOS Radio heten.

Eind jaren 90 kwam er een fusie tot stand met het kleinere broertje Radio Strijen Lokaal (RSL). Sinds 1 januari 2000 is de naam veranderd in Radio Hoeksche Waard. In november 2007 fuseerde Radio Hoeksche Waard met de tweede omroep van de Hoeksche Waard, Origineel FM. Zo is één omroep ontstaan voor de hele Hoeksche Waard.

TV Hoeksche Waard is de publieke tv-omroep voor de gemeente Hoeksche Waard. TV Hoeksche Waard zend uit onder verantwoording van Stichting Omroep Hoeksche Waard. De uitzendingen zijn 24 uur per dag te ontvangen via het kabelnet van Ziggo met Digitale Televisie en via verschillende internet aanbieders. Halverwege 2018 waren de uitzendingen van TV Hoeksche Waard gestopt maar in 2020 weer opgestart.

Radio Hoeksche Waard is the public local broadcaster for the municipality of Hoeksche Waard. The studio is located in Puttershoek. Radio Hoeksche Waard can be received via the ether on FM frequency 96.0 and 105.5 MHz, via digital cable, Internet providers and the Internet.

In 1986 the radio station was founded under the name BOS Radio. The abbreviation BOS stood for Binnenmaas Omroep Stichting. Initially it was only intended for the municipality of Binnenmaas, although it was intended for the entire Hoeksche Waard. Later they also received legal permission to broadcast to the other municipalities of the island of Hoeksche Waard. Nevertheless, the station was still simply called BOS Radio at first.

At the end of the 1990s, a merger was made with the smaller brother Radio Strijen Lokaal (RSL). Since January 1, 2000, the name has been changed to Radio Hoeksche Waard. In November 2007 Radio Hoeksche Waard merged with the second broadcaster of the Hoeksche Waard, Original FM. In this way, one broadcaster was created for the entire Hoeksche Waard.

TV Hoeksche Waard is the public TV broadcaster for the municipality of Hoeksche Waard. TV Hoeksche Waard broadcasts under the responsibility of Stichting Omroep Hoeksche Waard. The broadcasts can be received 24 hours a day via the cable network of Ziggo with Digital Television and via various internet providers. The broadcasts of TV Hoeksche Waard had stopped halfway through 2018, but started up again in 2020.
