Boonville’s state of the art aquatic center is the place in the summer time. Open Memorial Day through Mid-August, it features a zero entry children’s play area, two serpentine tube slides, spray ground area, six lane 25 M Lap pool, therapy bench, shaded areas, a full service concession stand and of course bathrooms with lockers. "The Boonville Lions Park Aquatic Center was a team effort between PWArchitects, Counsilman-Hunsaker, and the City of Boonville. PWA completed a feasibility study that was a preparatory, comprehensive study analysis focusing on a potential swimming pool facility. The community considered several options and then hired PWA and Counsilman-Hunsaker to develop the design for an outdoor leisure pool with a concession building, bathhouse, shading canopies, and a pump house.
