The rural parish of Bendochy is situated in the flatlands of Strathmore just north of the Perthshire town of Coupar Angus. A red telephone box is situated alongside the narrow minor road that serves the scattering of cottages and farms within the parish. The box fell out of use like many in the UK and was purchased from British Telecom by the community for £1. Originally it was put to use as an information point, but soon was turned into a mini library.
The box lies on the west side of the road just over a mile from the A923 Coupar Angus to Blairgowrie road.
